About Us
The Reverend Chuck Smith acquired the building that is now the New Start Rescue Mission in September of 2006. With the help of many volunteers, extensive updates and renovations were done and the mission opened it's doors in October of 2007.
The mission can accommodate up to 10 men, providing them with spiritual guidance, a warm bed, clothing. and hope for the future. In addition, New Start Rescue Mission is a drug and alcohol free environment.
Future plans for the mission include renovating the basement into a weight room, the second floor into dormitory space to assist Christian residents, the attic area into a library / study area, and add a kitchen to the bottom floor.
Reverend Smith and the New Start Rescue Mission are willing to assist all of those men that are wanting to improve themselves and their lives that may not otherwise be able to get help elsewhere. However, all participants must "toe the line", be employed or be seeking employment, and be willing to change and correct destructive behaviors.
